Job Description

Acronis is a global leader in cyber protection, delivering AI-powered protection for productive MSPs in a single, natively integrated platform that unifies operations management, cybersecurity, and data protection. Driven by our mission to protect, manage and automate every workload that businesses and lives depend on, we’ve built the industry’s only all-in-one solution.

As a Senior Cybersecurity Researcher in our global Threat Research Unit, you will combine hands-on threat research with customer engagement and public representation of Acronis’s cybersecurity expertise. You will investigate emerging threats, turn findings into actionable intelligence, and work with Sales, Marketing, and Communications to support US customer and partner discussions, industry events, and research publications.

Please note: Security Clearance Requirement: Candidates must hold a valid and active security clearance appropriate to the requirements of the role.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Research emerging and existing cyber threats, malware, attack techniques, and threat actor campaigns using threat intelligence, product telemetry, and other sources.
  • Track threat actors and their tactics, techniques, and procedures, and correlate activity across campaigns.
  • Develop tools to automate the collection, enrichment, and analysis of malware and threat intelligence.
  • Support incident response teams with detailed intelligence and research analysis.
  • Support US sales teams in customer and partner discussions by explaining threat trends, research findings, and the relevance of Acronis’s cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Represent Acronis at security conferences, partner events, webinars, and industry forums through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Produce research reports, articles, presentations, and educational content for technical and business audiences.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications on research publications, media briefings, and promotion of research and event participation.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • At least three years of relevant cybersecurity experience, particularly in threat intelligence, malware analysis, or security research.
  • Strong understanding of the threat landscape, threat actor profiling, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to produce accurate, actionable research.
  • Strong written and spoken English and the ability to explain technical findings to customers, partners, and business audiences.
  • Confident presentation and public speaking skills, including the ability to connect research insights to customer security challenges.
  • Ability to collaborate across research, sales, marketing, and communications teams in a global environment.
  • Willingness to travel for US customer, partner, and industry events.
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience developing research and automation tools in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Published security research, conference presentations, or technical webinars.
  • Experience supporting customer engagements or working with sales and marketing teams at a cybersecurity vendor.
  • Experience with network analysis tools such as Wireshark, Zeek, or Suricata.

Security Clearance Requirement: Candidates must hold a valid and active security clearance appropriate to the requirements of the role.
